Other bits and pieces coming with the balance update

If there was no wipe, then where is my save? It's clearly not there. Was there only a wipe on Steam or something? :/
All I care about is my save not being wiped again, I just want to play this beautiful game called "StarBound".
I only got introduced to this game 2 days ago, and i'm clueless as crap.

Also, i'm not a genius at programming, but from what I know it shouldn't be that hard to save a Save/character instead of wiping it out.
As far as I read about the iron sword was overpowered, and was nerfed.

 

It's because the main executable is already about 600MB in itself and that's not including the server file.

Your saves have not been wiped out. They are still in the proper folders. They are now obsolete though so you may as well delete them. This is an early beta so your character data will be rendered obsolete many times as the game grows and the save structure changes.

If you don't want to lose your data then you might want to wait until the game is finally released.

 

They ought to rename this thread 'The Perpetual Update Agony Saga' or something along those lines.

OMG! What the hell, this game wipes your saves?! This is just insane why did I pay money for this?

And also why are these updates soo huge! I demand one of the devs answers this right now! Also is there a new patch now?

Haha thanks for the late update! this has not been mentioned in the last 10 posts 3-4 times

 

The wipes will most likely keep happening every other update or so.

As in, one update (or maybe two) in the future will hit, not wipe saves, then the next one is released, and does wipe saves.

I think many people are forgetting this is only the FIRST PHASE of Beta.

Google "how the beta is going to work starbound" and you should find the proper phases post, I'm too lazy to find it and or properly link it now.
