I don't know why people are complaining about updates and wipes.
For the update part I'm so glad that there is even more stuff and fixes to existing things.
As for the wipe I don't care about it. It just allows me to start a new character and experience the game with all the new stuff all over again.
I do want the update to be done though so I can play my new character ^.^

 

So there's no way to just save it before the wipe? Like in Skyrim for example, or Terraria, there a folder in "Documents" that has you saves that you can take out and save. Though it could be used to duplicate though :/

 

I'm only in the Beta to help make this game better, and with these people who just started looking at the game/even hearing about it, all they do is complain.
It's fucking annoying.
You bought the game KNOWING it was in Beta, everything as we know it will change.
Get that into your thick skulls.
If you don't like the game as it is don't play it for a few months, everything will be different.
And another thing, this is to the Starbound Dev team, Villager NPCs get one hit killed by BIRDS, even the guards. Also, when you spawn your own guards I haven't seen one with a gun, whereas before half of them would have guns.
And something that would be nice is a difficulty system:
Easy mode: Starts with Normal stuff and a weak pistol, loses 10% pixels on death, spawns with full health.
Normal/Medium Mode: Starts as it is now, loses 25% pixels on death, spawns with 75% health
Hard Mode: Starts without any torches, loses 40% pixels on death, spawns with 50% health
Ultra Hardcore: Starts only with sword and Matter Manipulator, one life.

New update didn't cause a wipe, but i will probably start a new character anyways cause the bug kinda made me progress too quickly to be fun

 

How dare they fix the issues in their beta!

They should be more considerate to my slow ass internet and don't update until I'm not wanting to play then I won't have to wait like the rest of the world.

The weapons are INSANELY unbalanced.

The game is INSANELY too easy.

XP is still INSANELY unplayable.

I'm INSANELY confused about which update we're talking about.

The game is INSANELY too hard.

Harvesting crops is INSANELY unintuitive.

The amount of character wipes thus far exceeds my expectations... INSANELY.

Taking lumber out of my fuel tank is making space travel INSANELY more complicated than it ought to be.

If it bugs you that much, stop playing till they either finish the game, or they stop doing wipes.

Figures, hotfix goes live and steam goes down. There must be some manner of curse laid upon this patch.

This update BROKE the FAN MADE FIX which made the game playable on XP.. now it's all broken again, because incredibly slow FPS.. much lag.. wow..

It means they want to hang themselves because people like you don't bother reading ANYTHING.

You know when the developers write posts/tweets/facebook/reddit anything it's for you to read so you can keep up with the state of the game.

I don't see anywhere where it says you're illiterate so next time try reading things.
