oh FFS they aren't dumbing it down for dumb people get it out of your head. As it stands you have to be a fucking math magician in order to figure out what amount of damage your weapon does to what level of enemy, or simply throw away any weapon you pick up that is below the level of your current weapon only because it would be usless against a type of enemy that is just a few levels above your weapon its really rough and tier progression goes really slowly because even though you might have an armor level of 25, any enemies that are levels 26-30 of that same teir, will 1 shot you. This is not ideal, as combat now becomes a game of freeze tag, where if you get touched you lose. Going back a few levels, they are also making the enemies on each world more varied in combat in that "the blue bunny squid dies in a couple of easy hits and cant do much damage to me, while the red crocodile shark takes a few hits and is just barley pushed back by my weapons knockback, both dwel on the surface during the day time" rather than "Everything that spawns under the same conditions dies to the same number of hits, Just like paper targets tied to a pulley rope"
Well, he makes a build ... but AFAIK he already codes stuff that comes with the update after the next ... so I guess it has nothing to say (unless the build is meant to correct bugs the testers found, of course)
No, people asked him when he was gonna release the patch and he said "When you see 2 virtual windows on my screen things are happening, not a moment sooner". Well hes now compiling and running 2 virtual windows so I guess its happening now
Ive already opened my patch day beer, its 6:40 am, i just had taco and popped an ice cold one.... perfect
Ah ... so he probably gave the testers a different version (with cheatmode-flags enables) than he officially releases ... this would make sense
But that is the thing. THEY ARE. Its just not where many of you are looking. That is why I posted the link.
Yes, he was working on stuff that he eventually said "Ok this wont be in the next patch because its not done yet", he then finished what he was doing, did a git pull of all the files and started compiling. Meaning hes compiling for every coder who has been working on it
