RELEASED Ore Spawning Fix [Platinum/Diamond Obtainable]

Basically all this mod does is make Platinum Ore and diamond ore actually spawn appropriately

It makes platinum ore spawn on level 21+ Worlds at the same rate gold ore would have spawned in previous tiers

For example : If gold ore spawned at rate 0.1 at surface level on a level 11-20 planet, Platinum will spawn at a rate of 0.1 at surface level on level 21-30 planets, so on and so on

Diamond is still incredibly rare.



Installation Instructions :

Simply download the zip file located here : http://www.mediafire.com/download/jxmgo7x40c8aanv/biomes.rar

And then extract the biomes folder into your Steam\SteamApps\common\Starbound\assets folder



You'll actually be obtaining platinum and not dying in one hit in no time!

 

It's not a fix. Platinum and Diamond were meant to spawn in level 34+ Planets. So not a fix.

 

Gold tier armor is NOT enough to survive a level 20 world, not even steel is, and you're saying that the game is MEANT to keep you from the next tier of items until the GAMMA sector? are you insane, this is clearly wrong, this game is in beta and not balanced yet but seriously, you can't really think this is reasonable.

I know, which should fix the armor scaling problems of the current build. As it is now though, platinum is too rare for the armor tier it is.

 

Indeed. That's why I used an awesome cheat engine table.

 

Those ores spawn like at the lava height on planets below lvl 34.

 

They don't spawn at all on level 20 or below.

 

You can call it a patch if you dont want to call it a "fix" i got tired of dying on any planet 0+ in 1 hit without even being able to find a single platinum ore

 

... I had no problem completing the game, without cheats / mods, I just went to a level 34 world and mined whilst avoiding monsters, it's not too hard to do...

 

They fixed it in today's update. If your armor could handle hard monsters in Beta, you will be able to handle Medium monsters in Gamma.
