History The Space Raiders originally came from a Prison ship, housing many criminals, in which most were Orcs. The Ship was attacked by a mysterious force that suddenly warped in out of no where. The mysterious force invaded the ship and released all of the prisoners, not planning to harm any of the prisoners. the Orcs then threw a riot, overwhelming the Guards and taking they're weaponry. the Orcs then took many of the escape pods, leaving the crew of the Prison Ship completely vulnerable and not being able to escape. Many of the escape pods ended up on a deserted planet. The Orcs quickly rebuilt on the planet, using the abandon technology that was stranded on the planet. They soon put together several, high mobility ships and left the planet. Raiding Orc Prison Ships, one by one, they soon gather a large force, calling themselves the Space Raiders, they are not a force to be reckoned with. Technology The technology the Orcs uses are both Ancient technology, and Futuristic Technology. Using the technology on other Orc Prison Ships, while using the Ancient technology, found on an abandoned planet. Hostility The Space Raiders are a very hostile group. Salvaging anything they can find flying through space. They would get they're hands on anything that looks useful. The Space Raiders do not trust anybody that isn't an Orc, trusting nobody but themselves. There was a time where they would let anyone in that is willing to fight, but since most were Orcs, there was segregation, and where there was segregation was fights. Another dominate species that was apart of the Space Raiders could not stand the segregation and held a rebellion, resulting in a lot of death.
Are you serious? .__. They're criminals, so they obviously get caught and get taken away onto the prison ship T_T
I'd like to see this. Maybe when you start playing there's a very low chance of running into them, and they're very weak, but as you play longer the chance increases and they become more fearsome.
Because they are failures at robbing stuff. they are like ill kill you if u dont gimmeh ur lolipop and then some guy whacks him in the head, next thing you know the orc is in prison
"Green orcs with poor spelling" indeed originated from them (from GW, but Blizzard's lawyers are absolutely rabid in this regard, much more that GW's). Tolkien's orcs were quite different. Well, this is not really a precedent, but two years ago Wizards of the Coast sued some tabletop RPG which name I don't remember for having drow knockoffs. Yeah, like "Elves with black skin". Just saying.
1st of all, "Green orcs with poor spelling" is much like Tolkiens orcs. Tolkien described his orcs grey, black, or GREEN. He also described them speaking "Old English" which is an older version of the English we speak now. That explains why you described them by having poor spelling. So Blizzard or BW will not sue Starbound if this was to be implemented, it wasn't originated by them at all. And i'm pretty sure Wizards of the Coast did not win the lawsuit.
