Orbit landings

Hi community, first post here, been a long time lurker

I have a question/suggestion
if you are on a planet, is it possible to request e.g a mech, and then he will land with a rocket near your position like in cortex command, this would be awesome!
such actions could cost you resources and so on
also imagine big mining machines land from orbit to mine the surface or something

is something like this planned?

 

It is far too early to know of such things. So far what we know in relation to your question is:

• There are mechs.
• There are Rockets.
• They can be used on planets.

Whether you can call down a spare mech (or some other item/object) from your spaceship at any time is unknown and we'll just have to wait and see. but yes, that would be pretty neat~

*Calling down mech; mech drops in front of you, effectively removing the 20 layers of dirt and impenetrable material on top of you*

"W-what is this sorcery! Curse you Mr. Red! Curse You!!!!!!!"

Or suggestions, it fits to the suggestion forum too (though it dose fit more in the faq forum more).

 

That sounds like something that you could have your buddy do in multiplayer, have him bring a mech to the planet you are on.
