This is a very simple suggestion to help fix an issue I see with vanity items on multiplayer servers, especially those with a pvp element. Within the server when two players meet it would be impossible to tell how powerful said players are due to there insanely powerful armour sets being covered up by a simple kimono. Hence the option to remove these if you want a truly competitive server.
To ensure that you could tell how powerful an opponent is, before conducting a raid for instance. Im not asking them to be removed entirely just give servers the option.
The only way to kill players while not on pvp is explosives. Just make sure your gear is at least a sector above theirs or have a grenade launcher or something. I guess there could be an option for this but it is not a big problem and the devs have bigger things
I understand that it is not a dire concern as of now, i'm just raising an issue that i see with vanity slots for competitive multiplayer servers.
It shouldn't be a concern. Don't attack anybody unless you are prepared to die horribly for whatever you were trying to gain from doing so. Problem solved.
Pretty much this. Vanity items ought to be taken into strategic consideration when one is thinking about bonking someone over the head.
If you're not capable of taking on a player with the best equipment in the game you shouldn't be PVP'ing.
