While browsing the Starbound community hub, I noticed something by Omni, so I checked it out. The first thing I noticed is that he had "banned" by his name. What he wrote was about him unbanning people and taking his privelages as a developer away, therefore banning himself. What happened? What will happen to Starbound from now on?
I found nothing. Why'd he ban people? What caused it? I also didn't find anything on what would happen in the future. oh, personal problems. Still doesn't answer my question on what will happen in the future.

Thank you. I suppose Omni did flew off the handle. I heard people complaining about being banned for "crappy post" last night, and I simply thought they were rightfully banned; I suppose things are resolved now.
Considering all of the crap that gets spewed out by anonymous people that don't understand the power of their words, I'm not surprised that something like this happened. I think the devs should have a "fire and forget" attitude when it comes to News posts, because those seem to attract an incredible amount of ignorance and stupidity. Unfortunately, Omni kept checking out his news posts, and even interacting with people, but the negativity always seemed to attract responses. I think that's understandable, because he cares greatly about Starbound and doesn't want people to be demotivated by flaming and accusations, so he responds to them, but after awhile, doing this would cause someone to get burned out and disenfranchised. The forums here seem to be reasonably well...populated? And the most vile individuals seem to have gone away, or been "encouraged" to do so. I'm not sure how the Steam forums look, but if they're anything like the reddit stuff...yikes.
Sadly some people seem to forget (or even worse just don't care) that the developers are still human beings.
my suggestion to all this is, people shut up, let omni be and do whatever but don't even attempt to care about it, it's his own thing! He'll figure it out, we may see something about it sometime, for now i'd say let it be.
