old characters ?

I was just wondering if there is any news on the old characters being carried to the new update. Ive been wanting to play the game but after the first wipe and losing my completed character and then making another one I don't really want to make another one lol im not complaining or anything and im so impressed with the dedication and hard work they have done to the game im just curious if they are being carried over

but what if i open a server, and use a middleman to hold my stuff, create the new avian (that has the same name and appearence as the current) and then get the itens?

Bringing anything into Upbeat Giraffe from the previous Koala versions is a Bad Idea. At best, it might either not work or work differently than you remember. At worst, it could crash your game outright. Upbeat Giraffe changed a lot of rules about how items are generated, and items generated via the old rules will likely cause a lot of problems.

I highly suggest starting a new character from scratch.

Though if you want to cheat a bit using the /admin and /spawnitem commands while in single-player, that's your decision.

Unless major overhauls occur to the way items are generated or characters are saved, all existing items should be compatible with future updates.

 

yes. put them in the outpost locker or on the starting planet.

 

The outpost reset everytime you enter, so it would destroy the item

So your characters don't spawn on the same Home Planet?

Cause all of mine did so basically I just have a chest to transfer items/clothes mostly clothes

 

Actually, i never tested if their spawn on the same planet =s
