Oil !

Don't know if it have already been submitted, sorry if it did.

A liquid to fuel the vessel ! It would be present on planets with vegetation and found in underground pockets.

It would be heavily flamable and difficult to swim in, making it a threat while spelunking and using firearms.

You could gather it with a bucket in early game, and later using pipes and pump system, thanks to technology.

Also, it would be a crafting material for things like flamthrowers etc...

 

well if not oil in liquit form tar blocks exist maybe use the rafinery for creating fuel and fine sand ?

 

Yes, we should have oil present in deep pockets, preferably in tar soil.

 

There already is Oil in the game, or at least black liquid that floats on water. It just doesn't currently do anything.

 

We're just making sure it gets used.
