I like how the giant human-mech hybrid is sending the viewer an abstract message of humanity going too soft but also criticizing our out-of-this-world waste of resources.

 

I cry every time I see it. It's so beautiful! I DEMAND THIS BE PUT IN EVERY MUSEUM EVER.

 

It's much deeper than you're all making it seem like. The humanoid is clearly a representation of mankind's progress, in its ever eternal struggle to grow and expand. The lack of a helmet piece represents how futile our effort is in trying to achieve a sense of accomplishment, how we fail in "reaching for the stars". As we continuously gasp for new hope, we realise that such sentiment is forever absent - We may try, but we'll never completely satisfy our needs. It'll never be enough. A parallel may be established between this and the deep space on the background, both vast fields of blackness where one may lose oneself until the end of time. The gun may be seen as an embodiment of our own force - We are able to use such strength to make way for ourselves, as it may also be the source of our doom. Now the question is, how will the "weapon" be used? Will mankind tame it and use it for its benefit or are we bound to be the makers of our own downfall?

This is so good, why can't all art have this much time and love and thought put into it? I especially love the stars, if I didn't live in the city then maybe I too could see such brilliant, full stars.
