It's certainly pretty bad news, I'm not going to deny that. But when these kinds of events happen, I can't help but feel bad for police officers in general because they all catch shit for it.

There are bad cops, yes absolutely, but when these stories about police shootings break out, we have to remember that for every cop that acts in misconduct, there are several other cops that do their jobs correctly. I can vouch for this. The cops in my area have never done anything to make me feel uncomfortable, and a friend of mine had a pretty good experience in the past with them. So when I see people demonize cops, it makes me feel uncomfortable because I know not all cops are bad.

Whenever I hear stories about police shootings, I kinda sigh because I know there's going to be a lot of extreme rhetoric thrown around. I'm not trying to say, no bad cops exist at all and nothing should be done to prevent police shootings if they can be avoided, but it's important to remember: the news isn't going to report on the cop that did a good job (unless it was something extraordinary), they'll report on the cop that did something controversial.

Also, I do want to say, let's wait for as much info about these incidents as possible to come out before forming concrete opinions. Jumping to conclusions doesn't do much good.

Anyway, that's my rant.
