I got 24 GB of ram now.
While I was testing to make sure my RAM is properly installed, apparently one of my GPU fans isn't working. Not sure how long that fan has been broken, but I still get good temps with just 1 fan.

 

He doesn't say your name all the time, for me it's mostly "mum" but from time to time he'll call me Jack (named my first character after a certain someone in Mass Effect).

Confused me at first too, might be a bug or on purpose.

 

Curious, what does one need 24GB of RAM for? I can do all my stuff (a lightweight game, browser, drawing) all at the same time and use up less than 4GB still.

 

Futureproofing. I guess it would also be useful if you wanna use a ramdrive.

RAM like that would be a lot more useful for tasks outside of gaming - running servers, VMs, rendering etc.

 

Presumably for rendering and compiling for large things, but there are also people who like to get ludicrous amounts of RAM just for dick waving *cough people on pcmr with 64gb ddr4-3200 RAM cough*

Cloud... was unexpected. Don't think anyone saw that one coming lol. I find it a little odd though considering FFVII was never on a Nintendo console before...

If anything, I think Black Mage would've repped their series better than Cloud imo.

Still, I am glad this is still happening. Reggie+Bill combo was the obvious choice, anyway. I'm also happy they didn't just skim over Iwata's passing. They could've just carried on without mentioning it, but they found the time at least one final note and aknowledging people's support before continuing with the news.

Cloud is more iconic, thus better represents Final Fantasy.

I don't think Sakurai particularly cares about representation either way.

 

The things I am upset by are:

• Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam getting the bad parts of Sticker Star
• Amiibo-activated cheat codes in various games
• Limited edition game content and amiibo in general
• 3DS getting a "free to start" microtransaction hell
• Sm4sh ballot tease but no info
• Still no word on Project Guard, Project Giant Robot, nor Great Detective Pikachu

The things I am pleased by are:

• New Splatoon stuff
• A bunch of Japan only stuff finally getting localized
• New Picross game
• Release dates
• Cloud in Sm4sh
• Bill Trinen talking about kerbals dying in KSP

I wonder if this means the upcoming FFVII remake will make it Nintendo consoles... It looks like they directly used its assets for the new stage.

 

I heard a lot of people in Japan want Micaiah from Fire Emblem in the Smash Ballots thing.

Surprises me because she's not the even the sixth Lord I remember in all of FE.

 

Very unlikely, considering how the Wii U's hardware is unable to deliver the graphics the fans demand to wank over it...

 

I've lost motivation to buy Fallout 4, $60 is a shit ton of money damnit.
