Yeah, I understood that part, I just didn't understand why so many people got mad when the majority voted for starter pets. Or am I getting something wrong here?

 

Sometimes, it's the minority that is vocal about it. Those who agreed with the dev's decisions have nothing more to add, since all is going according to plan. It is those who dislikes pets that has everything to lose.
