I wasn't sure of where to post this, since this covers alot of different thread topics and I yet again, have a few new ideas for Starbound that I thought were neat enough to share. So: ~.Ideas.~ ·Armor slots that could be used for installing tech into the armor. The number of slots could be randomized just like everything else in the game. ·Tech that could be installed into your armor. This would effectively be like enchantments or permanent buffs, (at least while you’re in the armor). ·For all accessories to be visible as well as some being visible when in armor. ·Blank accessories such as empty rings, pendants, etc. that would have 1-2 slots. ·For all armor and accessories to be nameable. ·A way to obtain enemy abilities either through crafting them from rare drops, having them drop rare tech or possibly even from creating tech. ·Living armor: Armor that has special passive reactions to certain things and could possibly even communicate here and there. An interesting idea to be worked on later possibly. ·Comet & Asteroid Mining as well as having them both having chances of colliding into your planet. ·A trading system. ·The ability to set up your own shop on a planet of having a trading caravan, (I personally would love this one)! ·A playable Spider/humanoid race that could walk on 8 legs and have a humanoid upper half. This of course could be a mod however… ·Crossbreedable trees, crops and other plants. ·Bee/Alien Bee Farming; (Again.. Mod idea possibly). ·Blackholes that could be used for a number of things; including teleportation. Perhaps blackholes could glow a deep yet vibrant variable shade of purples as well as having an odd glow while giving off no light. This would be caused by them actually sucking in light instead of giving it off. I’d also love if they’d make a horrifying tornado/extremely deep humming sound that grows louder the closer you get; as well as actually sucking you harder as you grow closer. I’d love these things to be as beautiful and as terrifying as possible. ·Rare and unique planets that go outside of the normal generation. Things like Diamond Planets, Planets whose surfaces are completely covered in water, Ect. ·“Cold Stars”: What I mean by this is stars that didn’t ignite and are left with surface temperatures that are cool enough to live on, (This is a real thing guys!) ·Twin Stars: Pretty self-explanatory. ·Bricks/Slabs/Stairs made from crystal found on the crystal planets. Maybe other building materials or decorations as well. Please do give your opinions on my ideas here and feel free to even add to them with more suggestions! I love brainstorming with people.
Well I would have put "Unique" Ideas but I wasn't sure if others hadn't already thought of any of them. I also didn't want to be full of myself... ^^; Could you possibly specify a little more as well?
I really like all of those ideas, especially the crystals, and for the spider race maybe they could look similar to elise from League of Legends, and one of their technologies would be boots that allow you to walk on walls or cielings. (Edit): Oooohh god imagine their ships
Wonderful ideas!~ I of course think that this idea should be left for mods unless the Starbound team really wants to work on a WHOLE new race ^^;
that's not odd at all! i like the ideas, especially the asteroid mining and armor slots on a side note: this video is odd...
Back to the topic... Anyway, I think that meteors should crash into certain planets/moons and work similarly to terraria. Also, I would love to make my own crops through crossbreeding
