Maybe hold a contest or something. EDIT: I'd also like to say, I'm all for a change to the food system. It seems cumbersome and unrewarding in it's current state.

Can Florans get a blowgun that shoots sleep darts at people or monsters eventually? Or poison darts. Or napalm Darts. Or a crafting table that allows you to manufacture new kinds of venom or other effects to load your darts or bullets with. Yes, I'm starting to see the possibilities...
Is that mean that high tiered weapon will have stronger Poison and Burn debufs? If it is so then I can't wait to see it in work! Olso having some new status effects is pretty awsome! Keep going guys!
i'm wondering if different foods could "feed" different aspects of hunger.. like vitamins, calcium, et cet.. and satiate the 5 different tastes (salt, sweet, sour, et cet)? -- also if normal to hardcore modes could have thirst and rest as well as hunger? edit: mreh. maybe not the vitamins and things.. tho i wouldn't mind having the ability to be thirsty and tired. (if you're tired, you walk more slowly, for example)
yeah... I want the update it's been almost a year! of you guys working on this one update I get that you want to make it perfect just release it and fans will tell where there is bugs and then you guys can fix them and release another update
I'm still waiting for my trees on nightly to stop falling behind everything. . . can't farm any wood. . . And then there is that "Oh, snap, monster got burned to dea... oh. nvm. can't kill that monster now at 0 HP. . ."
Time for me to finally update my nightly. Can't wait to see the new changes in action. Hunger is one of those features which would be pretty hard to fix as a game play mechanic. The main issue with hunger is infinite easily accessible food. In other words if you tie hunger to only negative effects, chances of player ever reaching those negative effects without trying to starve them selves on purpose is a feat in it self. Also it doesn't help that food is easily accessible almost anywhere. Also their is ample room in the players inventory to keep a substantial amount of food - where the player may not starve even after a fours of game time. Nor can you make hunger rate so demanding you need to eat food every few seconds. Hence you create a situation where there really is no simple viable option to make any negative association with hunger. === With that said, there are options. Making food specific to races. If food is specific and certain foods is harmful to certain races. It already creates a limit to the infinite food problem Simple foods provide no satiety or provides only negative effects. Only complex foods with multiple ingredients provides satiety. This again limits the infinite food problem. Food goes bad once made / picked. This again provides a limit toe the infinite food problem. Food sack - limits the amount of food the player can carry.[ Tales of Phantasia ] By essentially controlling the amount of food accessible to the player. It creates a scenario where hunger can finally be accepted as a gameplay feature instead of a tack on gimmick. After that you can consider other options such as More hunger equals Less energy regeneration Slower running speed Decrease damage of meele hits Less effective healing Death
Wooooooooooooh! Wooooooooooooooooooooooooh! Hopefully the hunger change means, at the least, that you won't die from lack of eating. That's just too much pressure towards the player in non-productive way. It makes eating feel like busywork, rather than something feel fun & rewarding.
wow you people just want to sap this game of its challenge entirly dont you. Please make hunger still kill you, I think you dont eat enough in the game, do it minecraft style. And yes people still need to eat in the future.
Honestly it doesn't really bother me, but I know it does bother a ton of people and as it stands, it's not a very mechanically rewarding system. It's not really harder to get some basic food and stay alive, just more time-consuming, and that's never a good game design. So I sympathize with the hunger-dissenters.
