...what do you think will be lacking in this game?

This game looks very good (even GOTY material), but we all know it won't get everything right.

What do you think?

 

I think it might not get balancing the amount of different worlds with the variety of the different worlds right. I hope it does though.

 

my poor construction skills will end with me having the ugliest house ever.
it happened with terraria and minecraft.

potential imperfections or percieved imperfections in Starbound.

Certain people will complain about the Randomly Generated Weapons, and complain that it gives some people an unfair advantage in PvP.

Certain people will complain about the Procedural Generation of the Universe, and complain that it lets some people have an easier time.

Certain people will complain about the Randomly Generated Monsters, and complain that they don't like all the variation.

my point is, that some people will complain anyways just because someone went and made a game not tailored to their interests. The people who matter won't be so... 12-year-oldish.

not on my server. on my server, if I ever run one, the punishment will be one hour no server. and then increase on repeated offenses

of course thats only for the malicious trolls.

 

Because according to the big bang theory, the only reason we exist is because nothing can be perfect, even if it atoms are meant to be evenly spread in certain areas.

 

I think the random generator will turn out to put monsters on the planets inadequately. Like having robot mobs on the jungle planet that doesn't have any sign of possibility for them to be here.

 

Now after liking almost all of the replies to this post, I have my own thing to say. :alien:

the one thing I would hate having in Starbound.
That one fanboy that follows you around everywhere and can't be killed because its an essential npc.
all of my wrath would fall upon jailing him.
