O/T (we don't have an O/T forum!): What are your rl hobbies?

BESIDES Stardew Valley, of course!

I knit, sew, crochet, felt, and mostly spin wool and other fibers. I'm a fiber arts nut. I can and have done a lot of other crafts and artistic endeavors (I kind of like oil painting but haven't the space atm, am a Master Gardener but live in the city and can't keep up the cert anymore, have written many stories/poems and 3/4 of two novels but haven't buckled down and finished them)... I do a lot of weird stuff.

Oh, and video games, though that's often done with family and friends. I'm a dedi support on League. I play Starbound, Minecraft, SV, and have played a bunch of others.

I read a lot, too. >.>

What do YOU do? When you're not job-working, that is. Or schooling. Some have school.

 

Support only here. Unless my adc gives away first blood, then I put the carry pants on.

I live in a desert where it's hard to get around when you don't have a car because you rolled it a few times, is hard to maintain hobbies here outside of things at home so I've gotten real good at 10,000 piece puzzles and my wpm has reached a whopping 10 thanks to all the books I read.

 

If you can felt art Junimos and CA allows you to sell them you can have a lot of my money and that's saying something because I'm literally the stereotypical poor college student.

That said, I'm an all-rounder really and I dabble in a lot of things so I get the "I didn't know you were into that" comments a lot. Barring the shitton of things I try and do all the time, my main percentage of activities is spent on music, vidya gaem, reading (comics, novels) and science.

And sleep.

I fucking love sleep.

Oh, and I used to play FFXIV a lot. It was my life. Went on hiatus though because my life became super busy and an MMO like that requires daily dedication, which I don't have time for.

 

Hmmm Lets see I explore caves, Climbing, Hiking, Camping, I enjoy farming and ranching, I love writing and talking with friends.

My game joys are Minecraft, SVD, Total war series, Starbound and a few other games.

I also enjoy cooking it is my passion and art of my life..

Lol Junimos are easy. But that would be a whole copyright thing, and unless there's serious permission allowed, it would never happen. I could do them for family/friends, but with copyright (stupid bb code, how do you make the symbol here?) it could only be free.

On the other hand, I bet Chucklefish has something in the works on the plush end, so... yeah.

 

I love to read. I binge read a lot. I'll go a few months of 2-3 books a week and then have a lull where I won't read at all. I'm starting to feel that reading urge again so we'll see how that competes with my SDV playing. I also like video games. Huge Zelda fan. I've been playing the crap out of TPHD since I never finished the original because of the shitty motion controls. I also love tabletop games and play those all the time with my friends. I hope to start up a rp group soon because I binge watched Wil Wheaton's Titansgrave and I super want to get into it. I also love TV. I'm making my way through the 4400 on my own right now and Daredevil S2 with my SO.

I also really love sleep.

I would just ask ConcernedApe on twitter. As far as I know there is not really any official merch in the works right now so I don't think CA would mind. He allowed Sirithre to do commissions.

And I say Junimos because wow I love them more than any person in the game and I cried when I finished the community center I THOUGHT THEY WOULD STAY.

They like me after I finish a bundle tree. I try and plan that into my day so I can run around the CC with a junimo following behind me. And their little dance! SO CUTE!

 

I've tweeted him. I will not make them without his permission, so we'll see. IF he gives it, I'll make one so folks can see it, and then we'll see if you actually want them lol

That aside, one of the things I haven't dabbled in is the whole sewing/weaving/knitting/cross-stitch/felting thing. Threadstuff falls under a huge umbrella so I'm not sure if I covered it all.

Is it difficult to learn? I have gifts from a friend that are felt plush and crosstitch portraits but it all seems like something that requires a lot of finesse and if you mess up, I feel like undoing would be difficult.



When I was younger my mom taught me how to put a thread through a needle and that's how skilled I am with threads

 

You know I got a question to ask dose calligraphy count as a hobby...I actually pondered that..for awhile I mean writing in an old style using ink and quill...I wish tho I could do some of the Sewing,Weaving, Knitting,and such stuff I admire people that can do that...

 

Well I'm a mom of 2, I'm in college going for a psychology degree, I love to crochet, & I'm considered among my peer group as a 'crazy cat lady'. Also I suffer from a relatively severe form of anxiety where I seem like a total quack to people who don't know me personally lol, or a twitchy weirdo who knows.

Did I mention I love cats? Oh, I love cats. & I have 4. I have a lot of animals actually. 4 cats, a dog, 2 snakes (5ft albino red tail boa & a 2ft green tree python), a chameleon & two leopard geckos. I love animals & cats.
