I love this idea! I love the idea to have a choice about Ehh I want to destroy this Nuclear waste of a planet or Im going to cure it and make it better! Keep up the good work Spacefawx!

 

Since there has been talk of factions, perhaps Space Hippies will give you sidequests to cure the planets, and maybe even attack you if you ignore the irradiated planets for too long.

 

or you could cure the planet by trying suck up all the radiations out the planet and fill it into the tank then launching it to the sun or use it as weapon against other planet so that u can conquered the ppl's homeland

 

What if there was a planet that had a city that was like the mutant city in Futurama and there were civilized mutants that were a humanoid race but them and all the animals and plants were mutated. There could also be NPCs to take back to your base from there if you complete the quests the have to kill some giant sea monster mutant that is blocking the cities trade routes and if you complete it you can get rare blue prints for stuff and maybe you could get a weapon that is called a "Radinator" and it shoots radiation which can either destroy or mutate things.

 

I want a planet where it storms all the time, maybe if you had a city there it would be really hard to find cause of electrical interference or something, that would be awesome.

 

Maybe it's a mutated Cthulhu.

 

Wasteland-type things are definitely a penchant of mine and we'll definitely be looking at it. Radiation as a gameplay element is also being considered.

This is a good suggestion. I don't know where i saw this, but someone said maybe you could scavenge technology and melt it down into a type of metal. That would be a good idea to add to these wasteland planets.

There should be a creature that looks like the surrounding waste that attacks when you get close to it... Hey look tons of stuff! NOOO IT'S A MOB OF WASTE MONSTERS!!!

Have you ever seen the movie planet of the apes? You could find out its earth by seeing some landmark, as in this example, the statue of liberty. Which brings me to my next point, Could these ruined planets have some history behind them?

 

animals would have to wear suits to survive *cough*space fox*cough*
