But why so many nuked? That's my question. I guess it would make sense, depending on who destroyed your planet and how they did it. If they travel the galaxy nuking planets then... yeah.
It could simply be that the inhabiting civilisation nuked each other to extinction. Also Fallout was isometric so... 2.5D I guess.
I like this idea. It gives me a reason to listen to the Chemical Plant Zone music while I play (I still could, and probably will, but nontheless.)
Destroying a planet I don't like would be fun and I'm a big fan of Fallout 3/New Vegas so exploring a massive nuclear wasteland would be cool as well, and seeing the ruins of the planet you just destroyed would be pretty satisfying
I don't think you should be able to destroy a planet just because you want, and just by pushing 1 buton, maybe with really end-game stuff, but otherwise, you should have a really hard time doing it, and sometimes it shouldn't even be posible. But I totaly aprove of there being wasted planets, with mutated creatures, zombies or even lovecraftian horrors, depending on how the planets civilizations were destroyed. There should be ruins that might even explain you what happened, like labs, and maybe even some survivor groups, scattered all around the planet, scavenging for food and water while defending themselves from the hordes of enemies.
I like the idea because you could have houses that have already been built but are extremely damaged which would look awesome! Also it'd be very fun to forage around for ancient loot you can't find anywhere else!
only if there are casinos in the middle of the planet controled by a robot with the NCR fighting the legion
I like it, I could use a planet as a garbage dump. Heck, the nuclear wasteland planets could be a galactic garbage dump that you could scavenge through for crafting materials.
