Everybody wants that, everybody hates escort missions and everybody wants to have at least someone at the back of their seat when they are flying in that intergalactic van. Also having crew finally stop walking into acid or oceans would be nice when you just fly away. Im also making a link to this thread in Vehicles and NPC/Monsters forum as I am not sure which one this idea belong in.
If I'm on a world I plan to be staying on for a while, I just set up flags or teleporters at all major locations so escorts are as simple as zipping back and forth, personally.. And I think the only time I've taken crew down with me is when they've got in the way of something I was trying to interact with and I've not noticed until they're planetside with me.. In which case I tend to rejoice if they die stupidly. So that's a no from me.
