Closed NPCs attacking their pets

I've seen this happen in many dungeons. The Humanoid npcs will kill off the nonhumanoid npcs as soon as they generate. This includes robots in Human military bunkers, domesticated animals in floran temples/the floran quest, and just now i knocked a glitch off of his horse, and they began fighting each other.

 

Update! They also attack kings. I arrived in a glitch castle just after the king was viciously murdered by his own guard!
