That's amazing. But I just use bombs. There's no planet left to stand on when I'm through mining. Even the dirt goes to use on some other planet.

I essentially just dug forwards until I saw minerals, punching the odd light hole in the background, which often led to more detours.

About three full chests worth, so a good 30-40k of minerals?

With the holes in the background no additional light sources are required.

How long did you spend on that?

If you want ores the fastest way is to go to a level 10 desert planet, then dig around in the sand causing ore to fall and pool down to you.

You want to dig down till you find caves with sand ceilings, fly around with gravity bubble dropping the ceiling, and collecting about 5k ore an hour.

Few hours over a couple of days, I made the time go faster with Youtube vids and Skype calls in the background.

 

Good.... now make a spawn platform, and strip the planet of dirt.
Then stone.
Then lava.
Then leave the barren, desecrated planet alone. Forever.
