According to the main image for the novakids, space trains exist. They should have one as their starter ship. If there were ship upgrades, maybe you could make it start out as just a conductor's cabin, and upgrades give extra cars? Picture is related because it totally fits the idea, although maybe the confederate flag is unnecessary. If it's already been confirmed or thought of, apologies.
We already know you can upgrade/change your ship, or that it will be implemented. As far as them having a space train, I don't see why not.
Ships are already upgraded as you progress. I think a train motif would be cool, but the overall shape of the ship should stick to the way the other races' ships work.
Space trains are silly and would only serve to further my increase my aversion to the Novakids. As for upgradeable ships, as far as I'm aware your ships get bigger as you progress. Technically you upgrade them yourself with the crap you put in them.

To be honest, I dislike space trains bit - at least the way portrayed by OP. Some higher-tech bullet trains that suggest space capabilities would be more reasonable but at that point you just strap thrusters to them and you have a spaceship in the same style human ship looks like right now. Upgradeable spaceships, though - sure, why not. Most likely to be already in, though in somewhat limited way of just being able to decorate new compartments, instead of being able to change whole hull.
I think that'd be awesome. But only if they looked like the ships in the art for the novakid. Lol. You don't have to be so offended by a person's opinion. People disagree all over this forum. Are you going to go around saying that to everyone?
Space trains are sweet! I like the idea of upgrading vessels as well, or maybe even customizing the hull to make your own sort of "theme" ship? Iunno!
I don't know about you, but i'm getting that darn space train! But in all reality, i would play as novakid just to have a space train covered in confederate flags.
I love the novakid but I think they should have something a little more star-related then mechanical, no matter how space cowboy the novakid are. I'm not saying I want to fly around in the chariot of the sun or something but something that relates to stars a bit more then space trains would be nice.
