Novakid Ship Color Discussion

Those few simple changes actually do help quite a bit. I gotta say, the green color is starting to grow on me...

 

Now on to actually be productive, i tried at fixing up the back. its a little rough but it works:

 

Actually, as a side note, wouldn't it be better to have ship color be selectable during character creation, and maybe changeable afterwards for ALL races?
Especially since palette swaps take about 10-20 mins to make.

 

honestly i think black would look better...

 

Alright, i got really bored and decided to recolor the ship to be black, tell me what you guys think!

 

Found this topic only now... Anyway, I did this.

 

That's a much darker green than in the post though. I'd like something like this, more. That's almost black.

The current color don't bother me either, tho.

 

I do say I love the gold on black

 

I like it, but The blue "fire" feels so generic after seeing it on the human ship, did a similar re-colour but with alternate fire, red or orange seems good.

 

This right here, and maybe the blue glow could be turned into orange or something, more like this:



I also increased the saturation a bit so it would give a somewhat warmer feeling.

 

Now that is really nice! Matches the concept art nicely. This is making me re-evaluate my preference for a warmer colour.

And this has also made me re-assess my anti-green sentiment somewhat. Although I am still not personally fond of the colour.

 

Green is fine. If it was a darker earthier green even better. A burnt dark orangish copper, or a Brown would work just as well. But I think if it was black it would look to dull, it would match the interior too easily.

 

I love that copper coloring! But in my opinion, it kinda doesn't make me think Wild West when I look at it now...more steampunk now....

And i made an "icy' version of the normal ship using the ship light colors


i should release a mod that you can "Dye" your novakid ship.. oh well i dont know how to code starbound anyways :S

More recolors for your mod, sir!
(And some of them even look half decent!)

It's not that I need or even really want you to include them, they're just cool.
If you want to include them, I wanted to make sure you saw them. ^_^
