Jimmies rustling left, right and center? You mean that sprinkles were all over the place? Along with all those other things that is the weirdest post war scenario i have ever heard.
They were that lucky lad. The other experiments didn't have the same luck (this is actually canon y'know). EDIT: I 'spose I should warn you whippersnappers out there that the Ban-Hammer are still scouring the lands looking for remnants of that conflict... so be careful what you say about this matter 'round'ere...
Actually, making the game better experience for everyone is exactly my point. As quite some members of this community and many outside already claimed before, lately lot of content was oriented at adding more variations of locations and items. On it's own, it's a good thing, but plenty of features which were discussed as essential ones (like different atmosphere and environment of planets requiring different equipment, NPC interaction, quests) were neglected because of that. Now, while it's nothing to throw a tantrum about, apparently development takes a step further in arguably bad direction with AI, to some dismay of, unfortunately growing number of users. It's all a matter of taste, naturally, but I both understand and find hardly weird that people dislike stuff like AI. Aesthetic changes to ship functionality, which was already good (and again - in opinion of quite a few - better than the AI we'll get instead now despite hardly anyone asking for it) is what makes the bland product, when it's most of what is offered. You can have hundred of new locations, creatures and several versions of single menu - the benefit for the gameplay from such will be miniscule if all of these player will play through exactly the same way, to exactly the same effect. Audiovisual variation is nice only if it backs actual varied content to play through. While I wouldn't go as far as to claim that Starbound became 'furniture collection game' as it's being labeled in certain circles, I do believe that it's stuff like AI that doesn't change much that makes game far more bland than if the same time would be spend on features providing varied gameplay regarding exploration, interaction between NPCs and objects or balance. So, Ulvra, can I claim that "you'd rather they focus on making a bland product than what was promised, which you'd play for a month and then dump rather than make a game filled with features etc"? Despite the above, I do believe that we will get more features that will enhance gameplay itself, rather than just aesthetic gimmicks that get easily boring (if they are welcomed at all). It doesn't change the fact that I don't consider AI as something that improves gameplay for me and I will welcome it being modded out and/or do it myself. Feel free to not do the same if you enjoy it, I don't force you to.
Given I am answering a post which in turn is an answer tomy earlier comment and all of the above are in this thread, I think I am in the right place. It's just that since yesterday a few pages of comments piled up. Click on the link by the quote in my post and you'll get all the reference you need.
