Nothing left to do? [spoilers]

So, my human ship is fully upgraded, the Mining Facility, Dreadwing, Mysterious Party and Testing Site missions were completed and I've done all the fetch quests for the NPC's at the outpost. So what, if anything, is there left to do?

Certainly I can think up some of my own challenges - collect all the bugs in jars, build a research lab, find a full set of biome blueprints etc. Oh and of course there's just more exploring.

But is there anything in the stable Upbeat Giraffe that I've missed? Is that all the boss missions? because no one is given me any more quests to do. Is there a need to re-do any of them? (apart from the Erchius mining facility - I already got the cat!).

A couple of things I haven't done, mainly because I fully expected to get some sort of upgrade to be able to do this, is to go to any poisonous ocean planets because none of the tech upgrades will protect me from the acid. I've also not spent any decent time on planets with regular meteor showers because of their one-hit kills and exploring for any extended amount of time is just plan annoying.

besides personal goals that sounds like everything the game has for you to accomplish ATM, though your probably missed the hidden quest (looking for it is its own game)
now build a giant city across multiple planets and start your own empire!

Well you can always make a nice base in your starting planet for future characters. I personally dislike ALL races except Humans for different reasons, but recently I found myself making Glitch and Novakid characters. I mean, I don't hate them to the point that I believe they should not be in the game, no, just lore-wise in the sense that I don't feel comfortable playing those races, and because:

    - I've seen all the Predator movies (Florans).

    - I've seen what happens in Planet of the Apes (Apex)

    - I've seen how things went with The Terminator (Glitch)

    - Cannot be friends with races that could be potentially delicious once cooked (Avians and Avian)

    - Entities composed of burning plasma are a walking hazard (Novakids).

But what did you know, I ended up making me some more characters. And guess what? It turns out that you CAN conquer the galaxy with nothing but molotov cocktails, zeal, and spiky fruit turned into grenades. If anything praise the Murder/k/ube by amassing explosives (in game). Then? Let the galaxy burn.

im not saying no to that...

you can do spoilers by typing in [ spoiler] and closing it with [\spoiler] but using a forward slash instead of a backslash

cosmetics...aesthetics... building stuff... If you have not gotten all the blueprints from the first mission that could be added reason to go there a few more times. If you are into collecting everything you can craft.

Don't know if the floran one does the same, but then again most those can be found elsewhere. *smirk*

basically finished the content that is the progression so far. There is more to come in time.:D

You should look into turning your ship into into a wired marvel, like the star trek red alert etc etc kind of stuff

Yeah, I'm having difficulty wiring stuff and getting it to work. The best I could do was to have a hatch open and lights turn on from pressing a button. I wish wiring worked the same way it does in Terraria.
It's also problematic that you have to be next to a node in order to attach a connection.

No way! Terraria's wiring was totally gross, it didn't even have logic gates.

Sounds like you've got to experiment a bit with logic gates. Here's a neat project to try - a "ship lockdown" button.
    1. Place alarms in every room.
    2. Place a switch/lever/console/keypad/other on-off wire object in a place that's convenient for you. It should be turned OFF.
    3. Place a NOT gate next to it.
    4. Wire the red node on the NOT gate to all the doors and lights on your ship. The doors will open up if closed and be impossible to close. This is okay.
    5. Wire the red node on the switch to all of the alarms on your ship, and to the NOT gate
Now, when you hit the designated switch, all of the doors on your ship will seal shut - they can't be opened without removing them. All of the lights will turn off, except for the alarm lights, which will turn on and sirens will begin to blare.

Now, here's some ways you can pretty up this setup. Experiment a little to figure out how to pull these off:
    • You can create a second activation point for your Lockdown Mode by placing an X-OR gate and a second switch.
    • Latch gates can be used to make doors that operate off some other wire mechanism when Lockdown Mode isn't engaged, such as a proximity scanner.
    • A drain, a liquid sensor, an AND gate, and a sufficiently-large tank of liquid can make a water-clock timer that automatically shuts off Lockdown Mode once the tank is fully drained.
    Enjoy your adventures in wiring!

I meant the way it's placed, in lines along walls etc. Would make wiring things a lot neater instead of lines all over the place![DOUBLEPOST=1424021402][/DOUBLEPOST]
    I'll try that! thanks.

TBH I did some pretty awesome circuits for some maps I made in Terraria (Pyramid Adventure I and II). With proper gates in Starbound though this should be a lot easier.
