Noob question?

So i think i just died of smoke inhalation but not sure. I built a small shack and put a torch and a camp fire in it and not even 2 min later i hear beeping the house starts blinking and turning white and i start taking dmg... Eventually i died. I opened an airvent and it stopped but as soon as i put in another torch it starts again. Is this smoke inhalation death or freezing weather death? And how many chimneys do i need to build if it is smoke poisoning?

 

It sounds as though you're freezing to death, but you're not making yourself very clear. Can you post screenshots of how you're dying, capture the moment in different stages and we should be able to help

 

I don't think there is anything like smoke poisening to be honest. Usually when your screen starts to go white it's due to a low heat meter. Are you sure you were near a campfire when this happened? A single torch on very cold planets isn't enough to keep you warm.

yes my home consists of 2 small rooms and i was next to campfire... I add the third torch and the white blinking starts up again

 

I've just tried to recreate your problem. I built a closed off room with no opening for testing as you can see below. I even took off warming clothes to see if there is a bug connected to freezing but I wasn't able to reproduce it.

 

Lol ill try on my end when i get home... Probably you guys are right and i strayed to far from campfire. .... Kinda disappointed i thght my first death was smoke inhalation i thought coooooool
