No time to catch fish during fish

Hi,

I cannot catch fish due to insufficient time that's failed after one second.

I use stardew valley through a gamepad (Wii u Pro Controller)

System: Mac OS X El Capitan OS X 10.11.6 (15G31)

I don't understand. Do you mean that the fish escapes? Some fish are harder to catch than others.

 

Yes, that's what understand but the catching game is more than one second.

I don't have this behavior on the windows version. Strange.

 

Can you tell me what happens? If you click a mouse button, the green bar behind the fish will rise. For some fish, if the fish is away from the green bar too long, the progress bar on the right will retract and turn red. If that happens, the fish escapes. So is the fish moving away from your green bar and escaping?
