RP No Man's Land- Chapter 2: Off the Rails (On Hiatus)

Alistair tucks into his breakfast with gusto.

"Figured as much. That's what I'm here for. Plus, she's a great shot..."
she says, deciding to bet a strip of jerky.
She accepts a box gratefully, brows raising at the contents.
"Holy shit... Oh! Excuse me, but if you're going to offer one to my accomplice over there, can you make sure she doesn't get any syrup?"

 

Ramsey nods his thanks and starts in on the meal.

 

'I'm guessing you two signed on together then. Planning to deploy together, or are you two okay on your own?' He grabs a box as well, forgoing the syrup and instead having the waffles dry.

 

Alistair finishes off his meal and looks around, his eyes alighting on the game of poker.

 

Lance grabs two of the breakfast boxes and breaks off watching the game, heading back to Jade and sitting down, pulling up one of the tables and gently nudging her with his cane, "Breakfast.."

She takes a minute to wake, smiling tiredly

 

He opens his and starts on the waffles, "I don't know too many children fitting in how to play poker.."

 

Jade opens hers and begins to eat, looking slightly confused.

 

"The 'child' you mentioned, headed over and she was taking a hand in a poker game, and playing well from the looks of it.."

 

She just chews slowly, looking at you wide eyed. She finishes the food in her mouth before saying

" Yeah. She'd be pretty helpful.."

 

"I'd say.. Probably resourceful too.."

 

Jade just nods as she eats her pancakes

 

"I'll see about the mech after we get time..Seems we just gotta relax here for a while.."

"Oh heavens above pray that we aren't separated... mind of a child is a frightful one. She can handle herself, but it's best she and I remain together. She can be left to her own devices for the most part, but she just doesn't like to be alone... she's like a dog y' know?"

 

Jade nods, smiling as she starts back to her food

A few of the mercs at the table appear to be wearing some kind of uniform, marked with matching shoulder patches.

Rook grabs a couple boxes, handing one of them to you. She peers inside hers. "No, but they've got waffles."

The attendant gives you a quizzical glance before pulling the syrup packet out of one of the boxes and hands it to Amira. "Diabetic I assume?"

You have to get off your seat and move to a better position to get a good look.

"No... She's just not someone you should let have sugar at this hour... Trust me... She may look like an adult, but she's really just a kid..."

 

Maxwell opens his box and looks at the waffles, smiling a bit
" Huh. They look delicious. Would you mind if I ate with you? "
