My sister and I have played about 40 hours on a co-op farm I host.
She didn't have an online membership until recently so the farm was created and played locally. We have two issues.

    #1
While playing locally, the guest switch cannot be docked.

If my sister's (guest) switch is docked and she joins my hosted local farm, she is kicked within minutes. I, the host, can be docked whilst she is hand-held locally.

Sister got an online membership. USING ONLINE, we attempted have her guest join my farm while she is docked. Success. Which leads to the next issue.

    #2
After playing co-op online once, my sister's switch is unable to see my farm if we try to play LOCAL.
Doesn't matter if hand-held or docked for either. Local is unavailable for our only farm since we played it online.

    Help!!!

    We have tried:
    - hand-held vs docked in all variations
    - turning switches off/on
    - updating the switches
    - resetting router
    - forgetting networks and reconnecting
    - turning internet completely off and attempting to play local

Yes, we can play online. But if we don't have internet I want a solution!!

Having the same issue #2, and it is reproducible:
      1. Host a local co-op farm, farm shows up other switch
      2. Host the same farm in "Online" mode
      3. Farm will no longer show up in "Local" mode
