Bug/Issue No audio in arch linux

I recently bough starbound and im already loving it, today i tried launching the game on my arch install and had no audio, the game also took a few more seconds to load then what it did on windows but i dont really mind that as long as i can have audio

in the logs i do see

[Error] Application: Could not open audio device, no sound available!

running them in proton fixes it but i would prefer to play the game natively

 

Accidentally removed log but figured something out maybe. Before i was using a fresh arch install with kde plasma, did not like plasma and changed back to gnome where the game launched fast like normal and had sound.
