You message is a little unclear, But if am reading it right you are getting the "Runtime error" dialog when you run the DirectX (the one labeled as "starbound")? Do you get any more errors after it. I myself tend to get about 3-5 more errors after that one. I have not messed around to much with seeing if there is a way to fix it (at least my version of the issue) but I will let you know if I find one.
Where can I find what the 'nightly' builds contain? Also on a slightly unrelated note, a while ago the posted new ship progression any word on that?
You will not find much in the way of up to the minute info on the nightlies but as they pass you can check http://starbounder.org/Version_History/Nightly to see what was added. There are no official change logs published by CF due to the daily nature of the nightlies. Ship progression is now in the nightlies, but only in the form of items to upgrade with (In the proper release the AI will handle the upgrades and repairs I believe). If I recall the command is /spawnitem shipt# where # is 2-8. I might be wrong though, if so give it a search.
I think I have a simular issue.. sometimes when I close the game it spams the 'your program has stopped working' alert a few times.. tho I never wanted to mention it on the forums cus its not rlly making a big problem to play.. It could occure that the game does it in the middle of the gameplay as well with the same message u just explained.. but simply restarting the game solves it for me now..

You will likely not get an answer for that. As for the nightlies, they just added monsters back into it so it gotten better but If you want something more akin to an unstable release I would wait till the fix the AI and have it handle the ship repairs and upgrades.
As for being stuck on the ship with a beamaxe message on teleport pad... just craft a matter manipulator in the tech station. and equip,it to beam down.
We require all posts to be in English, or provide a translation. I think yours might have defaulted back to Portugese, so I've edited a translation in.
He said " I love you, you helped me. Im sorry for my language, i am using google translator. My starbound works usually without the beta mode of the game ... " I'm brazillian too
So far I'm enjoying the nightly builds, besides the extra lag. I didn't realize they'd already added the improved planet scanner. Loving the outposts so far. BTW my SAIL is awesome!
First time trying out a nightly build, with totally zero experience. Normal procedure - rename "player" and "universe" folders, launch the Launcher, select DirectX rendering. It crashed at startup for no apparent reason. Didn't even leave any error logs. Tried running it in OpenGL mode, instead of DirectX. It worked. Then I started tinkering with the settings. After getting done with them, I clicked on "Back" and the thing crashed. Then I ran it again, this time without tinkering with the settings. Created a character, all's good. Teleported myself to a planet and it was empty. No monsters, little to no villages, but then suddenly a golden glitch appears and challenges me. He got wrecked. I wandered a bit around the castle, when suddenly the game crashed after walking a few meters out of it. This preemptively ended my "adventure" with nightly builds. Jumped back to stable with all the mods for it, renamed my stuff back. Never again shall I encounter such terror the nightly builds have to offer.
Yeah, nightly builds are pretty unstable. But I've enjoyed seeing all the new stuff they've already added.
Indeed. And yeah, it breaks a bit too often, but still had some grip on the more or less interesting features. They all were pretty fine.
Yeah, Sadly the nightly can get annoying, I have the keep the launcher open. Due to all the unfinished bits it is really prone to the crash bugs. Glad you managed to have some fun in between the CTDs (Crash To Desktop).
I can't even get nightly to start. It crashes when I try to launch, both in regular and OpenGL (PlayerException) No such stored player with uuid 'fc6cf40beaa7781deb6e5ad7315d2136' EDIT; fixed by deleting all character files.
When I click "Launch Starbound" on the launcher, it comes up with this message: The second one is what pops up after I click OK on the first message.
