I guess yes... the amount of detail is greater, so obviously time invested must be greater too.
...and damn how I love that realistic, almost gritty comparing to chibies style...

I remembered mentioning mine as a Ningen but she'll make him human eventually.

 

actually the one that took the longest was http://i.imgur.com/R4kzCNt.jpg. Any of the more rendered ones took longer, except for the avian tophat guy portrait. But yeah, the chibi style is the fastest

 

Ah, this one's just mesmerizing for me, those shadows, and the palette...
