Next update changelog (possibly partial) - in case anyone hasnt seen it yet

    Fixed game crash when hovering some items (eg: Bubble gun!)
    • New Items
    • Drills now dig 3x3 instead of 2x2
    • Fixed birds: less angry at player, no more super-damage when hit by a falling dead bird
    • Fixed monster projectiles not balanced
    • Fixed fall damages
    • Fixed shotgun energy usage
    • Fixed low tier armors not feeling different
    • Shields are more powerful
    • It's now impossible to be hit by multiple projectiles at once
    • Gun balancing
    • Backpack Lanterns
    • You can now make coal by smelting 10 wood (Basically charcoal)
    • Search feature no longer default input in crafting view
    • Maybe more, remember that it's only based on what Tiy said

    Glad to see this. I was about to start raging on the forums. This literally addresses every issue I'm having. Wearing the best armor for my tier, and still getting one shot by projectiles, the insane rarity of coal (and the massive demand for it) Ive all but given up using torches. Shields not protecting for squat... I hope this comes out soon.

    So essentially, wood dropped from 1 fuel per one, to 0.2 fuel per one... Massive nerf if you ask me, way to big. :/

    Better a nerf to wood fuel than no wood fuel at all. I think its a great solution. Keeps the other fuels a valuable commodity - while allowing those who cant find enough of them yet to still get around.

    Its way too easy to get 1000 wood - keeping it at 1 wood per 1 fuel would nearly invalidate the other fuel types.

    At least wood has a use again. Though they could probably decrease the amount of wood necessary to create one charcoal.

    Yeah, you're right, they should just keep it so wood cannot be turned into fuel, at all. Good idea, Shiokuri!

    Beats mining the precious mineral though. I'm glad I can convert wood to coal, considering coal is needed for tons of things and being able to convert 1000-3000 wood per planet to coal is a godsend.

    I also like the concept of the backpack lantern. Sounds like something you equip in your cape slot to have a mobile light source that's attached to you. I hope that's true.

    Next patch already sounds like the patch of my dreams! Maybe I'll actually bother to explore underground when I don't have to constantly swap to a light source every 20 blocks.
