New Update?

    So I understand to my knowledge that the update is out from a recent post by a dev, so how would I update Starbound. I have the steam copy and do I update through steam? Or is the update not even out? Please help!

    The update isn't out yet, and as long as you're in online mode (and have automatic updates on) then it'll update by itself when it comes out :)

    1-. Update is not out yet.

    2-. As long as you're connected to Steam in online mode AND you have automatic updates enabled (automatic updates are configured in a per-game basis, and are enabled as default), once update gets released, Steam will eventually donwload and update the game automatically for you. Just check Steam main window from time to time, and in the lower center of the screen a message will appear if something is updating/installing (usually something like "downloading/installing <number> of <number> updates/games")

    Update is only available if your part of Chucklefish team.
    Currently your only options to get the update are

    • Become Tiy's room mate [he seems to be looking for one]
    • Marry some one on Chuckle fish team.
    • Work for Chuckle Fish
    • Buy Chucklefish.
    • Work for NSA - cause they have a copy of everything

    After which you will receive a special steam code - which gets you access to developer builds of the game.
