New update.

I dislike the new update. SLOW as hell. killed over and over by metters going off on every planet i land on. And anything you build is distroyed. making it no fun at all for me.

 

Meh, I like meteors. I haven't had any destroy anything useful I built yet so i'm not complaining plus it makes sense to have meteors considering ya know, your in space and what-not.

 

This is now the main reason my ship is my home. I just installed the custom ship mod, turned my ship into a floating block of wood with everything I could possibly need and use that. No fear of it being destroyed.

As will everything else so this is pretty useless to me. Same went with the previous updates, I just rolled up a new character because endgame was boring. If it's the previous update you were referring to then bare in mind they also wiped worlds as well so no house was safe.

 

Speed issues must be affecting the various platforms / OS's differently. I'm on a Mac and haven't seen a change in speed in any patch. Other than the occasional stutter during heavy rainfall, it's always been smooth. And strangely, I've STILL not seen a meteor shower. I wiped all my game assets and started fresh. I've had the same house built on the same world, through Gamma sector (just prepping to go into "X" sector now) and nothing's ever hit it, nor have I ever been hit by anything other than crazed mobs in the roughly dozen worlds I've visited. The only thing I can guess is that "randomness" affects nearly every part of gameplay, since my experience seems so radically different than your own.

 

Don't seem so random to me if every planet I go to starts off with a metter shower. Maybe they don't like me because I gave nagitive feed back. I'm just throwing stuff out there. I love the game or did. And if we are not able to build in this game it will really be a sad day for me. I had a huge building that was very cool if you ask me. Almost 3 weeks it took. Then the patch wiped it all. ANGRY Hippo here! Although I am over it and will not build anything because they will just wipe it until beta is over. Also I noticed that when they wiped my chars stuff I had a Matter m. on me and they put another one in my stash. Now I have two and you can't drop or distroy it...FYI I know i'm not a good speller. Thank you for not making a deal out of it.

 

FYI we are on a planet with metors, it wasn't in space and as much as I've seen them. Its seems like they need to reduse it somewhat or do I need to build everything out of The best ore or something? Which again makes it less fun for me personally. If we had that many on earth we'd all be dead.

 

Killed by those? I haven't even seen any yet.

The most I've found are shooting stars I guess, anyway if they were to fall should they not inflict damage upon contact? I mean it is a super-hot-ultra-BURNing meteor from space

 

This lag sucks. After the update, it just drags on and is almost unplayable. Didn't have any problems with it till yesterday. What the hell is going on with it?

 

Within the last hr or so i've been showered upon 3 times. Didn't die, but ok. I see Stronger Blocks will outlast the shower. Also, I crash at times after clicking a song from the play list. Yesterday seems like I was playing in slow motion. Seems to be better today for some reason. Might be a gavity deal...didn't like the motion of the ocean.

 

Yeah, meteors are OP.

Gotten killed 3 times by random showers as I traverse the planet. edit: Probably becaussse my new character isssn't a gloriousss Floran massster race. Filthy birdman.

Packed dirt doesn't resist, haven't had one happen to my cobblestone brick hovel yet though. What blocks resist meteors that can be found in Alpha?

 

Like Hard stuff or whatever. METORS are always popping off on every planet every hr. RETARDED, if you ask me. I hate them. Worst Idea ever! Just have to build fast over your head or dig down. All they do is distroy stuff.....G thanks.

I have a question, does every planet HAVE a type of weather or can they be weatherless?

If the former, I might be moving my house from my current homeworld because it might have giant meteors.
