New stream information on weather (P.S. glowing rain)

For those of you who aren't in the stream, or up to date with recent stuff, Tiy is currently working on adding snowstorms, sandstorms, ship debris/crashed ship, and glowing rain weather effects. These may not all be in the game next update, but they are being considered and worked on as I type this.

Also, Tiyuri officially confirmed his name is pronounced "tea-UR-ee".

Hey, Best Moderator 2k14 Braww here. Adding some meat on these bare bones. Meteor + Glowing rain + HAIL pictures. More information from the Stream can be found here.

 

Here's a screenshot, you can see there is space debree in the sky and the rain glows, its pretty sweet but I feel sorry for the people getting lag from light sources.

 

Gah, why can't people use photobucket for picture hosting that way I could see said pictures at work.

 

Added some pictures to the OP so people can see what's been shown on the stream. The glowing rain looks really awesome and relaxing, although it needs some tweaking. A little *poof* half-a-second flare when they landed or such would be pretty neat. Hope there's a way to defend bases from the meteors though. Can't wait to see the ship wrecks and snow/sand storms.

 

meteors are awesome, but I see much meteor griefing on the horizon lol.

 

THANK YOU, though I can only see the meteor storm gif, still, more than anything else. Also that meteor shower is awesome.

In not sure if I saw the snowstorm couple of minutes ago on twitch. There were ice cubes falling from the sky every few seconds. Did not look very spectacular, but I guess it's still work in progress.

Well there goes my frames. At least I'll get to see some really neat stuff until I get smacked by a meteorite.

Welp.. time to layer the top of worlds with a one block thick shield again.. just like Terraria.
Unless their going to add more then just hazards but ways to get around or keep them away *cough*hinthint*cough*
