New Starbound Stream

This question comes up every time. It wasn't an accident. Streaming something once is not the same thing as leaving a recording up permanently. It's not that strange to do one and not want the other. This is why the recordings are not saved on the channels themselves.

Love seeing the new stuff... and seeing the bugs is always hilarious. Though this guy progresses horrendously slowly : P

 

Lol you guys are freaking the hell out. Get over it. They streamed it publicly. Which means, you can share it, as long as it's not coding.

 

Yeah, screw reasonable requests, right? It's not like it's a human being asking for something simple.

The person streaming asked that it not be recorded. A simple request. Sharing it when asked not to is dickish.

 

If it was not supposed to be recorded, why did they publicly stream it? It was gameplay, pure gameplay. No code involved.

 

Someone can tell me the benefict of streaming versus recording?

 

I kinda get what you are saying...

 

Imagine hanging out with some people you know and some you don't, and then imagine the event being put on display for any and all to view and examine after the event is over. Some don't mind that difference, others do.

 

What the hell are they going to examine? How he plays?

 

Seeing as a lot more people are going to be playing it in a few weeks I don't see the problem. It's known that it's still in beta and is going to be for months after people can begin to play it. If anything it's good for the people who want to get a look at the game before they preorder. At the very least it will keep people from getting antsy about waiting for the beta.

 

Why do you all think that recording streams is not allowed. There is no reason to remove it. He's playing starbound so what. Show me the source that says he doesn't want it recorded.

 

Does it really matter at this point? If a mod wants to take the thread down, then they'll do it. At the moment, lets talk about the new things that we saw in the stream.

 

As someone who always misses streams, I like being able to watch them later. I really don't see how they can be used maliciously

Also, the doors being placed 3 blocks over was an entertaining bug

 

For all the people that responded to my post about " Oh so why did they livestream it" I don't know maybe for the 200 people that wait every single night for the streams. Or to do it for the fans.

 

simple rules of the internet are that you cant do anything semi semi semi important and not get it backed up somewhere without your knowledge.
