New Starbound Stream

New stream don't know if you guys saw this. but here it is.

Bartwe gave a copy to some friends or something and it's the guy that got a copy playing.

 

Dude. You were specifically asked NOT to record it. I would suggest taking it down, or there won't be more streams.

What happened was that Bart gave Matt/Jason (The developers of Wanderlust, who work for Chucklefish) a copy of the dev build to help him test a door opening bug, and to just generally take a break from coding and to play with him.

Then Tiy came around later and gave them permission to stream gameplay if they wanted.

Even so they are friends are they not? They said a long time ago that it was a closed beta right now so only them, family members and some of the developers friends had a copy. Nothings changed. Besides this close to beta release it doesn't surprise me.

 

Well shit.
Hopefully the devs don't get upset. :/

 

The way you phrased it though, it was like he was just giving random friends the game in trick-or-treat bags.

It wasn't you, it was more for those "omg I pre-ordered so other people could play before me?!" that complained about the i49 demo and things.

 

Seems more like someone recorded the stream from Gene and uploaded that on YouTube

 

Devs are going to get upset
They might even stop streaming because of people recording their streams.

 

Then perhaps they should not stream... its not hard. If you dont want something recording, dont play in a public setting like Twitch. Set it to private and play.

 

Sorry guys I uploaded it before I watched it the game play is awesome the player is incredibly horrible. He takes him 3 hours to do everything and I mean EVERYTHING.

 

I generally try not to comment on how good the player actually is playing a game, he might not have much experience with these type of games with a lot of things that you can do.

 

Besides, it was fin having fun with the people who were watching it live. Out of context, it seems rough, but it was definitely a good time.

 

It's known about record the Devs streams to be something they don't want. But they can't possible expect something publicly streamed will not be recorded by some and then shared, do what..

 

I have to say, looking at the stream, It's coming along good. I love the little outhouse entrance. It looks like it's nearing beta release, which is what I sincerely hope.

Edit: Around 28:12 there was a rather humorous bug, he sliced a robo spider and it sorta zoomed across the map without stopping. That was a good laugh.

 

Sadly this is extremely painful to watch. It takes him forever to even move sometimes or just do a simple click. Luckily we could see some interesting stuff in action anyway.

Tiy gave him the okay back and they played all together.
They DO not WANT this recorded.
Nor do they want a thread ABOUT it.

 

Then why was it streamed? Was it an accident? If that's true, then we should wait for a mod to lock the thread. They might not mind.
