New Sound effects! (heeheehee)

Hahaha, but actually we get to see some sweet weapon animations.

 

The flamethrower is so smooth and sexy

Edit: But seriously this joke video just got my Starbound fire burning bright again..

 

I really hope they aren't just placeholders

 

Some of those were actually pretty good. I can picture how they'd sound as a sound effect rather than vocal sounds.

Also I'm glad to see that the energy drain from weapons is slower than I thought it would be, unless they haven't fully implemented that. Looked like you lose a bar for every couple shots, maybe based on the size/strength of the gun.

 

Some guy did a similar thing with Half-Life 2. Replaced all of the sound effects with mock-ups he recorded of his own voice.

Although this is hilarious, is it just me or did some of these actually sound pretty awesome? Almost any of the ones with a "pfft" or "bssssh" sort of noise are quite appropriate if you ask me.

Oh and that flamethrower looks boss.

 

What's that lightning icon?

 

In the inventory screen? I suspect that's the numerical representation of the player's energy meter.

 

Exactly what I thought of when I watched this vid.

 

I want that "Bepbepbepbepbepbep" gun.
Preferebly a dubstep gun whould be nice that goes "Wubwubwubwub" but "Bep" can suffice.

 

Dat flamethrower. Just imagine what level 100 weapons are like....

Does anyone know what that meter above the ship is? the one with the letters "OC" in the middle.

 

1 handed grenade launchers? I am completely going to duel wield those.
