new screenshot released

New screenshot of starbound from tiyuri from the IRC and it looks very stylish if you ask me. You can also see how much progression has been made with the game.

While we wait for gameplay videos from the awesome developers this screenshot can help feed you hunger for more information.

Edit: some more information from tiy today about a preview mechanic

What's the lighter blue background ? It looks like a hill or waves in the upper left. It's also going over a few of the background blocks under that white chunk. Is there gonna be background water ..

Notice how in the top right the Pixel count isn't 9999999 anymore.

 

Yeah, it's like 1337 is the new basic Pixel number for the devs. Maybe because 1337 is way enough to buy everything you want? lol

 

Well there are a LOT of digits, probably not D=.

 

I love those lava trees, definitely my favourites so far I think. As awesome as these screenshots are though, does anyone else think they feel a bit empty? I hope that they continue to add more foliage and details and things. Maybe it's just because there isn't any enemies or anything too though, and because they're so wide.

 

Oh yeah! More information for my brain to process!

 

Also I just noticed something, the lighting demo was zoomed in more.. You think we can zoom out like that?

 

Hmmm... Good thought. But it might just be the scaling system, like if you go to full-screen/half-screen.

 

dangit still needa wait so much longer but it's nice to see how far they are.

i added some information from the IRC today in case you haven't seen Dtb290's thread. Tiy also hinted that he wanted the players to be able to make there own monsters by collecting parts but he doesn't know if it possible yet.
