I hope so. I would love to be able to harvest power from my own ring of solar panels built around a star. I also hope that there are planets that are close enough to their star that the star actually affects the planet. I am thinking EM bursts from solar flares that short your electronic weapons, etc.

I don't know about you guys, but I think this is some kind of Corruption.

 

If i am not mistaking that is a picture Tiy sprited by hand. Not an actual ingame picture.

 

This is actually a concept from really early in development that I had made (with Tiy, I like his slug thing :alien: ). Basically it's really old.

This was actually the first complete concept we did towards the beginning of the project a long time ago. These days we're at a much farther stage obviously.
(p.s. stars are currently being reworked which is really why they're not in the current build)

They'll have a special purpose that the players must find out themselves.

 

I fear this won't be very affective once it has a page on the official starbound wiki

 

Purpose: Troll every single one npc characture, especially janitors until they go insane and move in a galaxy far, far away from you?

 

Perhaps it'll summon a hot-dog boss that shoots french fries at you?
