Eh the birds could use a tweak, or some way to deal with them early. They aren't wrong about that.. they are aggressive lil pests. :D
That and crafted weapons a look at.. yet.

So far the game feels slightly more.. playable to me. I don't think I've played long enough to narrow down why but it feels smoother if that makes sense. Still need to get further ahead before I give a real impression but it doesn't seem as disjointed. Not being two or one shotted by a lot of daylight things (night monsters are still a nice pain which works) is a big help.

It's not fun for me to one shot anything that moves in the lower threat levels or killing mobs/bosses by enclosing them, so I'm very happy with this update, now the weapon drops from mini bosses will be used and not just left in a shelf and be forgotten. Great job devs! Keep up the great work!

it's easy if you want it to remain being challenging just don't craft the weapons, atm that part is broken and it will only ruin your game experience, when i get home i won't be crafting the op weapons so that i need to find good one's ;)

Quick question, is it just the T2 crafted weapons that are broken or are the other T3/T4 crafted weapons also totally broken too?

I know the reason the T2 ones are broken is that they are level 15 weapons, where the limit in the game for levels is 10, so of course they will totally destroy everything in the game, even level 10 mobs will go pop without a worry in the world, assuming they where implemented yet which they are not.

If all crafted weapons are broken/stupidly OP then I guess I'm going to be buying and collecting weapons from enemies.

Also just found out you can duel wield 1 handers...so that's a thing I didn't know about.

Allow me to illuminate the mechanics behind the issue for you. In Irritated Koala, there were ten tiers.
    1. Copper
    2. Steel
    3. Silver

Or something like that. The armor penetration rates were...
    tier1 Copper: 5
    tier2 Steel: 15
    tier3 Silver: 25

Or something like that. And the mobs and planets were also like that... Steel would be perfectly balanced for a level 15 planet. And the weapons are still like that.

But using a level 15 weapon when the strongest end-game boss in only level 10? Using a level 25 weapon? Definite rape. Do you get it? All tier weapons are like that as far as I know - better off with the bought and found kind.

you can also dualwield 1h guns like handguns or use a gun and shield or use a weapon/gun and axe/flashlight/anny onehanded useable.

You could always just use the more appropriately statted random weapon drops instead of the god-mode crafted weapons until they fix them.

Yea, just crafted my level 5 axe.. One hit kill everything on my first planet.. Oh well, best enjoy some killing frenzy then.
Anyways, I like the DPS system more than the Armor Pen, so keep it like that devs. And keep up the great work. :D

Idk about everyone else, but I am getting my butt handed to me by lvl 1's now. It is taking me a while to advance because there is very little wood on my world (mushroom biome), and every mob kills me in just a few hits. And flying mobs are now insane! Persistent much?

Best thing about the update for me; unrefined wood no longer being a fuel source.

I stopped playing before I actually got into exploring the Tier 2 stuff because the Tier 1 stuff was one shotting it all.
But I think the random weapons were op too, save for what seemed to just be the starting planet ones. I went to a second planet and found stuff even more powerful than the Tier 1 things.

I agree, it still makes little to no sense, however.

Because technology permits going faster than light.. but we still use wood and coal.
    Seems legit.

    VandBRT Subatomic Cosmonaut

The problem is that you grow impossibly bored of looking for plutonium on your starting planet. Removal of wood as a fuel source is OK, but removing coal will confine you to the starting planet for, uh... a looooong time. Until we get tools for mass/automated mining, like drilling rigs, consolidated crafting stations and craftable industrial explosives, disabling coal as a fuel source is a no-no.

Vand: Did you not see my above post? Plutonium is pretty easy to get in 10 minutes with enough torches and dirt. They're on asteroids.

That works /now/. But I seem to recall there being devspeak about requiring special gear to go out of the atmosphere and explore places without one, such as moons. Lack of air is a thing. I doubt the space gear will be craftable with low tier materials.
