New Patch Discoveries

Does anyone know what these things are? They kinda look like the shroom people but they don't talk weird. I found them in the middle of a rainbow biome, chilling in a couple houses.

Neither of those are new (you can right click the broken images and hit "View image"). The guy is a frog merchant.

 

wonder if the sun hat is new or not... recently got one. I would have a pic, but right now I am too tired to go back into game to show off. It is basically a sunday hat, yellow rim but with a ribbon flower thing around a short small bowl shape on top. Maybe tomorrow I'll get a pic. right now I am off to bed soon.

Yeah the misaligned capture station always annoyed me to no end. Thank you whoever fixed that.

 

I found the best instrument ever. Apologies if this isn't new, but I never saw it until now.

They added USCM human personal in USCM structures like bunkers? It was full of robot-sentinels only before. Now it have human "marines" and "riot-police" aggressive NPCs.

 

Marines were in the game already. Just rare to find. Which makes sense when you consider that nearly all USCM structures are abandoned.

Edit: There might be a new sprite for marines. The ones I've previously encountered wore the Outriders armor.

Riot guards with riot shields are new though.

 

Definitely new. I think it's supposed to be a reference to Bartwe's keyboard, which makes a lot of noise when he streams. Also obviously a reference to the iconic IBM Model M.

 

Found a weird stone brick place with handcuffs on the walls, And several people wearing avian quail armor and strange masks. they had those swords that shoot red mist and attacked me on sight.

 

You wouldn't when you note the little skull icons floating from them in the direction they point.

 

I found some flying fishies.

It's probably just a bug, but honestly I'd like something like that being in the game. Some small and weird creatures floating around give the game some alien feel that it seriously lacks at the moment.

 

I happened to obtain a very cool one-handed Glitch mace.
It has 9 DPS, a fast swing speed and 6 damage per swing.
Needless to say, it replaced my iron weapon.

 

I found some of these too, see the earlier post. They're definitely new but there hasn't been any discussion of them yet I don't think. I think maybe the buildings are placeholders - like those apex on the bone planets living in glitch houses, but the NPC's look like the rabbits in the avian statue, particularly the blank face and the eyes:
