Indeed. I wonder how high the skybox in a world goes? Because I could totally see myself making a space elevator of sorts.

Well Terraria had a pretty high skybox.
In Starbound it might depend on the planet, some planets may have thinner atmospheres than others, meaning you can't build too high otherwise you are basically jumping into space.
It would be interesting to have unique skybox limits for each planet.

    Yup! :p

    On topic:
Nice to see something medieval looking for those who were worried that everything would look too sci-fi.
    It's good to have variety!

Also that Avian armor looks great!

  4. Fantastic stuff. Looks incredibly cool. Thanks for sharing!

Besides, there's always been a few superheroes/supervillains/etc who hide their hi-tech stuff behind a medieval guise.

With the Mona Lisa AND the Famous Starry Night, the furniture is trying really hard to look like something from a human museum.

I'm going to go ahead and say the furniture is Hylotl. I really can't see the Robots having that medieval theme, we've been told it's not Human, and it definitely doesn't fit with established Apex and Avian themes.

In any case it all looks awesome.

This picture has so much, now I really can't wait until the game releases. Just a question, does just Tiy post pictures on Twitter?

  11. From the past screenshots I've seen, I have a strong feeling the mudkips are going to have traditional asianesque stuff, so I'd say it's Robots for medieval theme

Or maybe the medieval theme is just a generic thing anyone can do?

Technically, when you think about it, everything is a generic thing that anyone can do, considering you can use any other race's items.

  14. considering they mentioned 'which race or which set they're from', it seems it's exclusive to a certain race or set. Set?

I think it would be interesting based on your race, your first world will be tuned to your culture.

You could then visit another world, let's say themed for Robots, and start gathering some of their cultural items/blocks.

Although this feels like it would lock out players in a way, but I could see them making it work based on they said about "creating/finding all race armors". A sort of artificial wall to slow some things down.

I wonder if that drawbridge is actually retractable

Does not look like it would be physically possible with the length of the wood. It would be cool though.

Unless the bridge lifted straight up using some kind of winch on both sides.
I don't see a hinge on either end of the plank so it most likely doesn't lift up. But adding mechanisms that manipulate blocks of the same type that are connected would be useful for several different scenarios.
