Sorry for my last and too generic post. Now i'll write you all my ideas for the Jak and Daxter themed mod. -Elf race( sprites like human but with long ears) -Precursor style ship -Race pet like Daxter (Ottsel) -Precursor armor like Mar armor of the game -Eco Bar instead of energy bar -Eco is lost by killed enemies or get on the generators -Eco generators: Green(Healing) ; Blue(Speed) ; Red(Power) ; Yellow(Fireballs) ; Dark(Damage if you haven't dark warrior tech) ; Light(avable with the light transformation tech) -Special techs: Dark warrior( crafted with dark eco) and Light transformation( avable after compleated the mission in the temple) -Dark eco extractor -Guns crafted with eco and other materials(like weapons of JAK 3) -Dark and light transf. powers: Dark-claws, dark bomb, dark energy ball, invisibility; Light-slow time, light shield, healing, flight You will start your quest with a torch, your hands(used to punch like the game), and some conteiners of green and blue eco. The generators are crafted at the iron crafting table with colored eco and iron. For example, to do a green eco generator i need ten green eco and ten iron. When you absor some eco your eco bar will be empty but only for a little time( similar to the game). So, if i get some blue eco i will be faster for a little time. The armors increase the time of the effects of the eco. But is different when you use a special tech. When you are trasformed in dark or light form your eco bar won't be empty unless you perform a special attack like dark energy balls for the dark one. The elf race dungeons are precursor dungeon where you can find eco conteiners, that if broked they would give you eco, lurker enemies and other things. That's all for now. I wish that someone could try to create this mod with these new information and If you would change something you could without problem because you are the creator of this mod. I'm with you cause suddenly i can't do any mod and i implore someone to create this mod because i think that will be fucking good. Sorry for my stupid english and bye. Please help me!!!!!
That's a lot of stuff. Have fun making it. You are asking a lot, and people have their own ideas they wish to work on. Since mods involve anlot of different things, your best bet is to start working on it yourself. "I can't make mods" is not a valid excuse. Its more like you can but don't want to so you try to get someone else to do it.
i know that is a bad excuse, so can you help me with the basical of modding? I don't know how to start and i need help!
http://community.playstarbound.com/threads/modding-guides.34001/ I believe this can help you, it has all the basics of getting started, atleast from what I know. If you have the will I am sure you will have no problem!
Thanks for all but i think that is too difficult for me to do these things. I've reed the modding guides but i don't understand nothing. I'm not good with file modification and other things. This mod will never exists.
Its not too difficult for you. You just don't want to do the work necessary. Unless you don't have hands, in which case, I am sorry. You expect to be able to do it perfectly off the bat? That's not how this works. If you put in the time end effort, then you can easily learn how things work and what to do. Saying "I can't do it" is a cop-out for laziness. If you want the mod to be made, then you need to show some initiative, otherwise no one will want to back you. There are plenty of guides for everything you need to know. This is not an attack at you. I don't believe in coating things with sugar, so I tend to be very blunt and harsh sounding.
http://community.playstarbound.com/threads/modding-101-video-tutorials.93068/ These are my modding video tutorials. They are designed to be simple and are meant for beginning modders with little/no coding experience. Give them a try. If there is anything in them that confuses you, please let me know and I will do my best to clarify.
If you are just starting, you should start small...I've attempted modding for years and always lose interest after the first few days. I learned the semi hard way (some good people helped me out and made it easier) that you need to start small. gain confidence and make small things first. the bigger the mod...the harder it is and the scarier it is. and by scary i mean easier to lose interest. when i finished my bomb flower mod (still needs some more things for it but i have no idea what.) i felt good! it gave me experience and confidence to make something slightly bigger but not too much. shelve your idea for now. write it down. and if you get more ideas for it...write those down. create assets for it every once in a while as a side project. work on the smaller stuff first. that will increase your current ideas potential to be grand and will be better as a result.
