Awesome! I'm glad you all did something about the text. I play in 1920x1080, on a 46 inch display. The old text was a little bit of a strain from time to time. Especially when I wasn't closer to the screen.

    *Edit*
To touch on the subject of vehicles, I would like to make a suggestion. How about making it set to where you have to bring the required materials to a craftable "Vehicle Station", then it creates the vehicle and spawns it in on the Vehicle Station. You could then contact SAIL, to store the vehicle on the ship, as long as the vehicle is docked in the Vehicle Station. Then, when you need one, you can contact sail from the planet. When you contact SAIL, it would bring up a new UI that would allow you to choose which vehicle to beam to the Vehicle Station. As long as the Vehicle Station has sufficient access to the surface, SAIL could beam the vehicle right to that station.

I think this would really add more immersion to the game, and take some of the instant gratification factor out, from having an inventory full of vehicles for every situation. If you needed/wanted to leave a vehicle somewhere, you could. For example: in a mine, on display, or anywhere else you would like to leave it. However, you would need to create another, to replace the one you left behind, if you so desired. The ship would only allow one of each vehicle to be stored on bored, to prevent people from having an armada of vehicles.

It would also balance the game, by requiring you to build a vehicle station on each planet that you want to have access to vehicles on. I also think that limiting the amount of vehicle stations per planet would greatly improve immersion, and slow the pace enough to make it seem more like you actually have to do something to get to the vehicle station and retrieve a vehicle.

I also think this new UI would open a lot of possibilities to the game. Being able to select crew, supplies, vehicles, etc. to beam to the planet for you, and beaming them back as well. Each type would require their own type of station to teleport to. For example, a cargo station (that you could beam crates full of supplies to and from the ship with), a personnel station (for transporting people and creatures), vehicle station, etc.

Ok, thanks for the news :)[DOUBLEPOST=1421296621][/DOUBLEPOST]
That's why I always make my own font... or I take the one that has 100% free for commercial use license, though, I couldn't find any license in the first place for the 04b03 . Which actually makes me think - was the original author of the font even thinking about any kind of licensing of his/her work, because noone of his fonts have specified license?

But actually, who cares now, we've got a new font :)

Im for one happy that the devs realize that the whole "OMG PIXELS LOL SO RETRO" theme doesnt need to impact gameplay and comfort.
The new font is MUCH better. I only wish they would give the actual background art on the planets the same smoothened treatment, because those huge pixels man...
It doesnt make sense or fit the game aesthetic anyway, the pixels in the foreground are maybe a few centimeters, compared to the size of the characters. But the same size pixels on the distant Mountains in the background...
If pixel art is the "atoms" of Starbound, the distant backgrounds should have smooth curves and edges, not be composed of miles-wide square blocks.

Update: they added the Cyrillic block -- U+0400 to U+0527 -- in today's update. No reference picture, but at least the Russians can write in Russian now.

    Exactly that.

Edit: here's a little side project I started -- autogenerated sheets of all the glyphs in Hobo. Each number in the file names is the left half of a 16-bit number, so you can find U+0123 Latin Small Letter G With Cedilla in hobo_01.png. I'll update these as Hobo itself gets updated. Thus, if you want to know if a given character is in...

I definitely prefer this to the old font, and I thought the old font was pretty good. The symbols look good too, but they don't seem to be vertically aligned in the picture shown that demonstrates them. I personally believe that they should all have the same height for the bottom of the symbol. Either way the font looks great and I look forward to the next official release! :3
