While everyone is focusing on meteors and asteroids, did anyone notice the rain?
The rain causes formation of water in small crevices.

I was mining an area and all of a sudden water filled up.
    Also water "drips" from edges.

Really amazing ambient effect. Its the small little things which are so under appreciated yet make such huge impacts when noticed.

The Acid rain! Oh God! The Acid rain... it comes down constantly on my starting-planet, forcing me underground. Still: I love it!

Beautiful: rainbowcolored rain particles that on top of the prettyness even glow in the dark. :D

When I first saw them I thought that those would be little meteors that could kill you. As soon as it started to rain, I immediately dug a hole to seek shelter and then carefully and slowly crawled out of it to see what happens :D

I also noticed that the rain no longer severely lags out the game on my ancient Macbook. In fact, the whole game seems to be performing a lot better after the update.

My first house was flooded and the fireplace was put out. Later i was on a snow planet, freezing as usual, but when i was in a hurry to set up a fireplace a meteor shower came at the very wrong time. I really like such surprises :)

the only "weather effect" i don't particularly care for is the meteors...... until you can tell which planets will have them and which won't for sure it makes making a base risky

Later in game there should be some protection-mechanism (missiles, shields whatever) against meteors and asteroids.

well since right now i'm at the "end" of the game and i haven't seen any protection against space materials destroying my landscape....... i don't mean to nitpick but some features shouldn't be implemented till the counter feature is implemented

Probably to stop people complaining about loosing their house after taking so long to build it :p

I'm at work for most of the day, but could someone test out the resillience of a harder stone such as blaststone against such strikes? Curious to see if a couple layers of that or magmarock could withstand hits from meterorites? Just curious ;)
