New dialogues, and possibility of aging

I have observed the villagers of the city, and I have noticed that the dialogues are always very repetitive. It would be nice if had more conversations with the characters.
And in the matter of the aging of the player, I realized that no matter how many years pass, the player never gets old or dies. I think it would be more interesting and real if the player became more mature over time. Of course, not as fast as it was at Harvest Moon where the player got old and died in a short time.
I also think that the player's children with the spouse should grow up, and become teenagers. It would be a unique experience to be a parent of teenagers.
(Note: I'm Portuguese, so sorry for my English.)

I'd like to see the village as a whole aging. Like Kent returning, the Valley changing in little ways makes it feel more alive. It could be as simple as a new sprite and some dialogue changes after a villager's birthday in X year, or there could even be additional cutscenes (or even just alternate cutscenes). Villager schedule changes would be a nice touch, too. It doesn't have to be a lot of them, just a couple in years 3 and 4 would make later years feel more dynamic. Lewis, Marnie, Jodi, Vincent, Jas, and Clint would be my main nominees. Or maybe Evelyn or George passes and the other has to cope with being a widow(er).

Bringing in the player's family would be an especially nice touch, although more difficult from both a code and gameplay standpoint.

Personally, I'm pretty content with the villagers being 'frozen in time'. IF an aging mechanic ever is introduced, there should also be a function to turn it off.

I don't get the appeal of the valley being frozen in time. Would making the town less static make it less charming? Could you explain why you would prefer to disable it?

Some people are fond of the villagers as they are in their current ages. I suppose having them grow up can be a big and uncomfortable change.

Because it makes it a more real experience to play. They would not have to grow old or die immediately, it would take time for that to happen. For example: I have noticed that Vincent and Jas remain like children forever. And I'm in the year thirty-two. Do not you think it would be interesting if they grow up?
And do not you think it would be good to grow old with your wife and watch your child grow up?
And over the years in Stardew Valley things are becoming very repetitive, and you're missing out on grace. It gets to a point that you will not have anything else to do. Nothing interesting will happen

You all miss one thing that speaks against againg: Your character will (and should) not be excluded.

Honestly, I could go either way with this idea... though if aging were to be a thing, I think NPC characters having kids would also be a sort of necessity in order to keep the valley occupied. If everyone aged and died but had no kids, Vincent, Jas, and your two kids would be all that's left to re-populate it... and we all know that wouldn't work in the long-run.

Alternatively, we could have it set so when your character comes to the end of their life, you can have the option to end it then and there on your deathbed thereby ending that game and 'deleting' the game-file (maybe there's a sub-choice to keep the file and you and everyone else could continue on through STV as an un-aging immortal), OR you can chose to assume control of one of your children to continue work on the farm. I don't know how well that'd go over for continued game-play since there'd have to be new NPC RNG creation (either characters moving in to vacant homes due to death or being born and growing up) with new interests and likes for you to get to know and possibly marry. By that time, it just starts to get confusing and - in some cases - very convoluted.

Don't get me wrong, I do like the idea and would like to have the togglable option to enable or disable that feature... I just think that it'd take a LOOONG time to program that in and make i viable to extended gameplay. CA is only one person after all. >_>

All I'd really like, is for these toddlers (or ,,parasites'') to grow. Go outside, play with other children, play with themselves even.

But yeah. I'm pretty sure, we won't be getting any of that. Not untill Stardew Valley 2, I'd assume.

I like the idea of aging but...to a limit? Like until my kids are probably married to Jas and Vincent :) lol. I wouldn't want George and Evelyn to die of old age D; ...if I'm being honest I want grown-up children to help me with the farm :nurutease:

For the dialogue..ah, just gave me an idea to edit it in some like: "Time flew by so fast. It's already been 50 years since you moved here! - Lewis" though would be nice if it's incorporated in the vanilla X)

Maybe it was not necessary for someone to die. But it would be cool some changes like the growth of our children along with Jas and Vincent.
And on the subject of our children, could open an event with a small scene where we would be celebrating their birthday with our spouse.
And about the spouse, a change in the dialogue over the years as: ("Happy anniversary of marriage, today we are married 3 years") things like that would be good, and with Lewis would also be a good idea.

If aging would be added, I'd say have a feature to turn it off. I don't like people dying in my games, I don't even play the Sims with aging on ( I just trap roommates in rooms and watch them die.. )
But it would be interesting to see the NPCs age. But as stated above, you'd need to let them have kids too, or there will be nothing left to do and no one around. Personally, I'd like to see Marnie ( She's so annoying ) and Lewis go from old age, I don't want to keep giving them truffle oil forever xD
Children should age up some though.. Not sure if that's already planned or not though
